Motion was made by Letha Edlen to excuse absences, seconded by Mary Ann Boillot and carried. Minutes were approved as read. Applications were from Kristina Jenkins, Kaylyn Sonius and Michele Struemph. Twenty were interviewed, three were transfers. Balloting was held on: Marjorie McGowan, Neville Anderson and Irene Redel, transfers. Those accepted for membership were; Barbara Diemler, Bernice Holtmeyer, Julia Lewis, Helen McGee, Terri Arnold, Brenda Brandt, Sally Powell, Dawn Berhorst, Patricia Leonard, Cindy Borgwordt, Sharon Hodges, Vicky Boss, Mary Distler, Cherrie Wallace, Donna Amos, Geraldine Moore, and Caryn Terry. All were accepted. Initiation is Nov. 17.
Boillot made a motion, seconded by Bette Rovik to pay bills. Motion carried. There was no visiting report. Boillot received a card from the auxiliary. Sandy Siebeneck or Leslie Franklin need help with the Christmas bazaar. Anna Mae Schaefer has raffle tickets for the bazaar. Siebeneck made a motion, seconded by Boillot to put $51.82 into the Jimmy Durante children's fund. Motion carried.
Shirley Hutinger will be getting the bulletin out at the end of November. She needs information. Betty Rovik will be in charge of the Christmas float. Help is needed as well as a trailer. About 25-30 children attended the Halloween party. Agnes Schellman won the 50/50 drawing and attendance was won by Schaefer. The amount for the next meeting will be $5. Capsule drawing was won by Emily Talken who was not present. The next amount will be $325. Schaefer, Siebeneck, Marie Buschjost and Linda Schmutz fed the birthday bank. There was no new business. Trustees were unable to meet with the men due to interviews. Secretary and treasurer gave reports. Officers will bring snacks at the next meeting, Nov. 17.
