Maries County meeting planned about soybean rust

Questions about risk management strategies for the 2005 crop will be offered at an informational meeting on April 5.
The Maries County University of Missouri Extension in conjunction with the Miller County Extension will provide an educational program to be held at the Farmer's Cafe on Highway 42 West, next to the South Central Regional Stockyards in Vienna.
Some reports have suggested that shifting from soybeans to corn would have neutral or even positive benefits on farm income. Analysis indicates this is a regional issue requiring careful consideration of costs and returns.
The cost of the program is $7.50 which includes an evening meal at the restaurant.
Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP by calling (573) 422-3359.
