Your Opinion: CIA report reflects political hypocrisy

Dear Editor:

The Dec. 10 article quoted a list of the 13 techniques used on detainees (terrorists). Of these 13, in 1966, I and many other Marines experienced at least 12 of these so-called tortures while training. I am certain I experienced the 13th at some point in my time in the Corps.

I did not vote for Obama. Personally I do not like him as a president or as a person. His response and support of this hatchet job by the liberal Democrats borders on treason. I wonder if enhanced interrogation would have saved one of his daughter's lives if he'd feel different? We are in a war, and war is an offensive business. You must and will do things that would not be acceptable during peace. Winning is the only option.

Obama and the Democrats would have us believe that water boarding is horrible while sending a drone to kill the terrorist and his entire family (along with a few friends) is morally correct. Nobody, absolutely nobody, died from the enhanced interrogations and information was obtained. This information saved lives and brought Osama bin Laden to justice. When a Hellfire missile comes through your living room window I can guarantee you there will be no information coming, you are dead right there.

The hypocrisy of this CIA report for purely political gain criticizing this country's attempt (successful might I add) to protect the country from another 3,000 innocent Americans from being murdered is disgusting.
