JC man jailed after tampering with utility

A Jefferson City man has been charged with tampering with the service of a utility.

Marc Cicso, 44, 5302 Kenview Drive, is believed to have committed the crime in September, causing a "substantial interruption of a utility, disconnecting the system's power supply," according to court documents.

A Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement shows Cisco was terminated from Radiowire, an Internet service provider, and later obtained a key to a facility leased by the company that housed equipment vital to their operation.

Cicso went inside the building and disconnected and switched multiple connections, which shut down Radiowire's service.

Cicso later admitted to authorities he committed these acts.

He was taken into custody and released on bond.

He later admitted to calling an employee of Radiowire after his release and threatening to take down the system again if he did not get a phone, owned by Radiowire, returned to him.

He was taken into custody at that time for tampering with a witness.

While Cisco was in the Cole County Jail, he called the employee again and made more threats. That call was recorded by jail personnel.
