I am not at all surprised by ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and other liberal news outlets telling us that if the Republicans shut down the government, they would be blamed and be held accountable in the 2016 elections. I however was somewhat surprised that Brit Hume on Fox News Sunday, this past Sunday, said the very same thing.
Question: When Ted Cruz led the effort in September 2013 concerning the dreadful continuing resolution for funding the federal government he and other conservative individuals objected and were accused of "shutting down" the government, was there a backlash against Republicans in the following election?
Look at the results of the 2014 elections where Republicans won in landslide proportions. The only way to stop these people is to take the money away from them.
I repeat, Republicans, you were elected to stop Obama and the Democrats, not to compromise with them.
The Republican leadership should stop listening to the inside the belt way consultants, news media and other outlets that continue to bloviate about such nonsense and listen to the people that elected you.
If they would stand by the stuff, they would be looked at as heroes for stopping our slid into the abyss of progressivism.
