Your Opinion: Iran, Ferguson and amendment

Dear Editor:

I believe several months ago many of us knew that Iran was not going to make any concessions on their nuclear arms deal and looks like "we the people" were correct.

Complaints about the governor calling out our National Guard prior to the Ferguson decision. Has anyone heard of being proactive instead of reactive. It will be much easier to deal with community reaction if already in area, rather than call up and travel from Jefferson City to Ferguson.

It does seem to me that if Officer Wilson should be acquitted that he and his family will continue to be under harassment as long as they live in this area and possibly other locations. Our country has blown this totally our of proportion but maybe this isn't our country anymore.

Recent amendment approved with limiting our governor right to manage funds, looks good on paper but now look ahead, consider other aspect. We get a governor from a different political affiliation and at the same time our House and Senate also changes primary political affiliation.

Did we do a good thing, will we let our state House put our state in debt by having absolute control not that we have a buddy system in our state. Maybe we should have looked at all aspects before elections.

But again we know our amendments don't mean much in our country anymore. Someone can come in and change them at will or with a pen and telephone.
