A few days ago I read how California is adding global warming tax of 10 cents a gallon. Even though it is a tax they aren't calling it that; they are calling it a fee and it isn't locked. It is based on cap and trade and, as the article states, is likely to rise between 13 and 20 cents a gallon and in some cases exceed 50 cents a gallon and based on state figures could spike to 76 cents.
Then after reading that I finished an interesting article on a University of Montana study that found some U.S. weather stations have been exaggerating warm mountain temps by as much as 217 to 562 percent. So no wonder it can be freezing outside and the media says "2014 warmest year on record."
My favorite claim from climate alarmists still is 97 percent say ... that isn't stating fact, that is stating opinion. For example 97 percent of children say they were visited by Santa last Christmas eve. Climate alarmist love to accuse climate realists of using scare tactics but who really is using scare tactics.
All kinds of terrifying predictions are made, now including cannibalism. Despite overwhelming evidence proving them wrong over and over again they continue on and they only have one solution. Take your money. See I offered real solutions in an earlier LTE if CO2 was the problem, no one jumped on the band wagon. Even if the U.S. stopped producing CO2 other countries would continue so no good there.
Then next comes to surviving all the horror stories. What answers do we have for that, oh, yeah take your money, how about aquaphonic greenhouses made with the new transparent aluminum that can with stand severe storms and tornadoes and can operate without electricity. If the fear is real then people should be pushing like crazy to have these structures built on a massive scale to protect the food supply. Is that going to happen, no, cause there isn't a problem. What is going to happen is alarmists will continue til you feel guilty and you will willingly pay the "fee" just so you can feel better for driving an SUV, a boat and keeping your house warm.
