Your Opinion: Gay marriage ruling does not attack Bible

Dear Editor:

In response to Wanda Roam and Francis Byrd on marriage equality, I am so tired of people talking about a war on Christians.

The war is being carried out by Christians against anyone who does not believe what they believe in. You say the Supreme Court is playing God and we should read our Bible. Well, in my view you should read the Constitution that says there is separation of church and state, which means that church has no weight in the SCOTUS at all.

If gay people want to marry, that has no bearing on your life whatsoever. You do not support it then do not attend; no church will ever be forced to marry a gay couple! But the law of the land says it is legal now. You don't have to support it, but this is the same thing as the Loving case that said blacks and whites couldn't marry. Get off of your high horse and remember your religion is for you it is not what everybody practices; therefore, do not force your religion on people.

You are literally basically saying that if I don't like carrots then nobody else should be able to have carrots because you don't like them. Sounds crazy right?

Okay so do you when trying to force your beliefs on other people. I am a married man with a wife and four children and three grandchildren. But gay marriage has no effect on me whatsoever, and shouldn't have any effect on you.
