A Vienna man suffered serious injuries Saturday night in a head-on crash in Maries County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Dennis G. Hutchison, 39, was flown by helicopter ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia following the 6:45 p.m. collision.
Hutchison was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Missouri 42, three miles west of Vienna, when a Honda Element driven westbound by Kathy S. Cooper, 57, of Dixon, crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle head on.
The patrol reports Hutchison, who was not wearing a safety device, was ejected from the bike. Cooper's car then ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a highway sign. No injuries were reported for Cooper, who was wearing a seat belt.
