A Jefferson City man was arrested Wednesday after Callaway County sheriff's deputies pulled him over about 3 a.m. on U.S. 54.
Andrew Barrett, 39, was found to be a fugitive in Cole County and was wanted on a Cole County felony warrant for traffic offenses, according to Lt. Clay Chism of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office. Upon Barrett's arrest, he was found to possess narcotics-based items related to methamphetamine use in the vehicle.
Barrett was arrested for the Cole County felony warrant, in addition to Callaway County probable cause charges of felony driving while revoked and unlawful use of paraphernalia. On Wednesday, Barrett was being held in the Callaway County Jail on $10,000 bond.
