Jefferson City police sought a suspect following a shooting incident Saturday night.
Officers responded shortly before 9:15 p.m. to 813 Monroe Street, where a man had suffered a gunshot wound to his side.
An ambulance transported the victim to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The investigation is continuing.
