Only two contested races will be on the April 4 ballot for city offices in Jefferson City.
Tuesday was the last day to file for the election.
In the 1st Ward, incumbent Jim Branch is being challenged by David Kemna.
A second contested race is in the 4th Ward, where Ron Fitzwater, Leonard Steinman and Charles Jackson are running for the seat vacated by Glen Costales' November resignation. The winner will serve a one-year term and can run again next year for a regular two-year term.
All other municipal races for this April are uncontested, with each of the current office holders seeking re-election.
The candidates include:
2nd Ward: Laura Ward
3rd Ward: Ken Hussey
4th Ward: Carlos Graham
5th Ward: Mark Schreiber
Municipal Judge: Cotton Walker
City Prosecutor: Brian Stumpe.
