Tebbetts woman killed in one of three accidents

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers reported a trio of accidents last week, including one fatality.

Lori L. Bremer, 44, of Tebbets, died in a Sept. 7 crash on Missouri Highway 94 near Route AA.

Bremer's 2003 Ford Mustang had yielded to oncoming traffic to make a left turn onto Route AA at 3:28 p.m., when it was struck in the rear by a 2015 VW Passat driven by Rebecca A. Edwards, 42, of Portland. The Passat went off the right side of the highway into a ditch and the Mustang rotated, then came to a stop.

This was the second Troop F fatality in September and the 35th for the year.

A one-car crash Sept. 10 left a 15-year-old with minor injuries. Troopers said a 2000 Ford Ranger, driven by Britni P. Spencer, 16, of Jefferson City, was totalled in the 6:42 p.m. incident on U.S. 63's west outer road in Callaway County. The truck left the right side of the road and overturned. Passenger Haylii A. Osborne, 15, of Jefferson City, was transported to SSM St. Mary's Hospital.

At 10:10 p.m. Sept. 8, a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia driven by Michael W. Schaffer, 49, of Raymore, was attempting to move into a westbound Interstate 70 driving lane near Route A and struck a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by Fabiola Tejada, 52, of Miami, Florida. She and three passengers in her car, all from Florida, were moderately injured and taken by ambulance to University Hospital. Passengers included Sidney Alfonso, 22; Jose E. Leon, 27; and Rafael H. Tejada, 30.
