MOKANE - A Mokane man was charged Tuesday following a Callaway County Sheriff's Office burglary investigation, Lt. Curtis Hall said.

Anthony Furlong, 31, faces charges of first-degree burglary, an aggravated offense of driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked.

The charges follow a Monday investigation into a residential burglary reported in the 9000 block of State Road C near Mokane. Deputies responded at about 10:46 p.m. The suspect, identified as Furlong, fled the scene before deputies arrived, Hall said.

He was later found driving on County Road 445, where he was stopped and arrested. Furlong was taken to the Callaway County Jail and held on a court-set $10,000 bond.
