Residents unharmed in Holts Summit house fire

Residents evacuated unharmed from a Tuesday night house fire on the 300 block of Ascension Point in Holts Summit, with fire crews arriving to the scene shortly after midnight, according to a news release from the Holts Summit Fire Protection District.

The first firefighters on the scene reported the fire being in the front of the house before spreading through the rest of the log building.

Scott Pasley, HSFPD public information officer, said the damage to the house was extensive. Three vehicles in the home's driveway also were damaged by the intense heat.

No residents or firefighters were injured, according to the news release, but three pets are unaccounted for.

The South Callaway Fire Protection District, New Bloomfield Fire Protection District and Callaway County Ambulance District also responded to assist HSFPD.
