JC woman arrested after drugs found

A Jefferson City woman was arrested Tuesday in Holts Summit, suspected with trafficking drugs.

After Callaway County Sheriff's K9 Iro alerted on a vehicle after a traffic stop at 10:45 p.m., a passenger - Amy Miller of Jefferson City - was found to be in possession of a felony amount of marijuana. Miller, 34, was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail.

At the jail, it was determined Miller had 38 additional grams of methamphetamine concealed upon her person.

Miller is being held in the Callaway County Jail for probable cause offenses of trafficking drugs, felony possession of a controlled substance, and delivery of a controlled substance into a county jail. Miller is being held without bond, pending a court bond setting.

In another incident, on Aug. 15, Callaway County Sheriff's Office deputies investigated the theft of a vehicle, along with additional items, from an Auxvasse area residence. Investigative follow-up was completed, leading to the vehicle being recovered by deputies in a concealed location just west of Fulton on Tuesday.

Subsequently, Chastidy Hoover, 29, of Auxvasse, was arrested for stealing a motor vehicle and transported to the Callaway County Jail. Hoover was further booked/processed for felony possession of a controlled substance (two counts) regarding another criminal investigation conducted by the Callaway County Sheriff's Office on County Road 220 near Kingdom City. Hoover is being held on a court-set bond of $14,000.

Jordan Raps, 32, of Fulton, was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle. Raps was transported to the Callaway County Jail where he later posted a court-set bond of $4,500.00.

The investigation continues and further arrests are possible.
