A Holts Summit man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison on two charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.
Anthony Major, 50, was sentenced by Cole County Presiding Judge Pat Joyce, who found him guilty following a bench trial in April.
Jefferson City police stopped Major for illegally tinted windows in November 2016.
A background check on Major's license found he had been arrested in July 2016 for distribution and was believed to be selling heroin, according to court records.
A search of the vehicle found three rocks of heroin and one rock of crack cocaine packaged individually for distribution.
