Holts Summit man reported missing found safe

UPDATE:

Early Tuesday morning, Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chisim reported Jerry Hutcherson, 74, had been located by authorities in Marion County, near Hannibal, in northeast Missouri, around 11:30 p.m., Monday night. Authorities then contacted Hutcherson's family and they were later reunited.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Department is seeking public assistance in locating a 74-year-old Holts Summit man.

According to the sheriff's department, family members of Jerry Hutcheson reported him missing at about 3:30 p.m. Monday from his home on Maple Leaf Lane in Holts Summit.

Authorities said Hutcheson has been diagnosed with dementia, has heart-related health issues and is a diabetic. He is non-insulin dependant, however, his memory worsesns the longer he goes without his oral medication.

He left his cellphone at the residence, officials said.

He is driving a cream 2008 Ford Edge that left with a full tank of gas, and he could be en route to Columbia or the Camdenton area, officials said. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt.

A black soft shell jacket is missing from his residence, and officials believe Hutcheson took the jacket with him.

Authorities ask anyone who sees Hutcheson to call local law enforcement or 911.
