Deputies report multiple arrests in Callaway County

Callaway County deputies ended the week with a shooting incident and multiple felony arrests.

On Wednesday, Brian McKee, 28, of Hartsburg was arrested after an investigation was conducted at a Millersburg area residence during the early morning hours.

During the investigation, a victim reported he was approached by two male suspects, one of which was armed. The victim reported he was subsequently assaulted and robbed. The victim further reported shots were fired by a suspect during the robbery offense. The suspects then fled the area.

Callaway County Sheriff's Office investigators subsequently identified McKee as a suspect in the investigation. He was located and arrested Thursday evening with the help of Boone County deputies.

Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged McKee with felony offenses of robbery 1st, burglary 1st, assault 1st, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm (felon in possession). McKee is being held in the Callaway County Jail without bond.

Three Fulton men were arrested Friday at the Carrington Pits recreation area (Mark Twain National Forest property) off County Road 315 west of Fulton. At about 3:35 p.m. a deputy was patrolling the area when he came upon three subjects who were armed.

One subject discharged a firearm in close proximity to the deputy.

Multiple other deputies responded, along with agents of the Missouri Department of Conservation. During the subsequent scene investigation, marijuana (felony amount), drug paraphernalia, and counterfeit money was seized.

Arrested and charged were: Anson Robinson, 18, on felony offenses of unlawful possession of a firearm (felon in possession), unlawful use of a weapon, and delivery of a controlled substance. Robinson remains in-custody at the Callaway County Jail pending a court set bond of $15,000.

D'Metrious Austin, 21, on felony offenses of unlawful possession of a firearm (felon in possession), unlawful use of a weapon, forgery, and delivery of a controlled substance. Austin posted a $20,000 court-set bond and was released pending court appearance.

Elijah Mayfield, 19, on a felony offense of tampering with evidence, in addition to misdemeanor offenses of possession of marijuana and littering. Mayfield posted a $1,500 court-set bond and was released pending court appearance.

This investigation is ongoing and further charges are possible.

At 5:27 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to the 6000 block of Route NN south of Fulton for a suspicious activity call. Upon arrival to the area, deputies encountered the suspicious person, identified as Justin Bockhoff, 26, of St. Louis.

During the course of the investigation, deputies detected probable drug activity. A vehicle search was conducted which led to the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Deputies further determined Bockhoff to be under the influence of drugs.

Bockhoff was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and DWI-drugs. Bockhoff is being held in the Callaway County Jail on a court-set bond of $6,000.

Callaway County deputies continue work with other law enforcement agencies and community partners to curb criminal activity throughout the county. Drug abuse is often the catalyst of many other crimes, such as burglary and stealing offenses in rural areas of the county.
