Jefferson City man charged after chase, theft

Lonnie Kissee, 48, of Jefferson City, has been charged with driving while revoked, resisting arrest and stealing after a weekend chase with authorities.

Kissee allegedly switched price tags from shot glasses and other items on Sunday while at the Walmart Supercenter on Supercenter Drive, according to a Jefferson City Police Department probable cause statement.

Security footage shows Kissee scanning several items that were not shot glasses and ringing them up as 20-cent shot glasses, according to the statement. Kissee paid $48.70 for merchandise that actually cost $279.

Officers located Kissee's vehicle after he left the store and tried to stop him, but Kissee sped away. He led officers on a pursuit that ended on a dead-end street, where he got out of his vehicle and ran but eventually was caught.
