Man injured after wind topples Freightliner

KINGDOM CITY, Mo. - A Tennessee man received moderate injuries after a gust of wind knocked over his freightliner Saturday, according to Missouri Highway Patrol Troop F.

Aldo Myers, 57, was driving west on U.S. 54 at 6:22 p.m. Saturday when the wind picked up. A video shared by the Highway Patrol shows his 2019 Freightliner Cascadia toppling into the grass adjacent to the road in Kingdom City.

The Kingston, Tennessee, man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the Highway Patrol reported. He was taken by Callaway County Emergency Medical Services to University Hospital. His vehicle was moderately damaged and was towed from the scene.

High winds downed limbs throughout Callaway County and in surrounding areas during Saturday's storms.
