A Jefferson City man recently won $20,000 playing a holiday Scratchers game from the Missouri Lottery.
Dexter Chance won playing the "Merry Money" game.
Chance said in a Missouri Lottery news release that the prize will allow him to pay off a vehicle he recently purchased.
Chance purchased his ticket from House of Bargains at 5505 Business 50 West in Jefferson City.
"Merry Money" is a $5 Scratchers ticket. There are more than $8 million in prizes remaining in the game, including two top prizes of $100,000 and one more $20,000 prize.
Players in Cole County won more than $13.2 million in Missouri Lottery prizes in th emost recent fiscal year, according to lottery officials.
