Jefferson City police have arrested a man being sought in connection with a shooting incident Sept. 3 near West Atchison and Broadway streets.
Police claim Arthur Phillips Jr., 26, was identified from interviews and surveillance footage from the area as leaving the scene of the location where shots were fired at a vehicle. Authorities have been searching for him since then.
The Cole County prosecutor previously charged Phillips in the case with armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a firearm. He is being held in the Cole County Jail on the warrant.
