Group of Iberia residents win $2 million lottery prize

Four people from Iberia won big on a scratch-off lottery ticket bought at a Casey’s General Store, according to a Missouri Lottery news release.

Michael Brumley, Ariella Martin, Marisa Veasman and Sonya Carmack claimed a $2 million top prize on a “100X The Cash” Scratchers ticket bought at the Casey’s at 2340 Missouri 17 in Iberia. The Iberia quartet claimed their prize Sept. 11 at Missouri Lottery’s headquarters in Jefferson City.

A “100X The Cash” Scratchers ticket costs $20. The winning group from Iberia claimed the last of two $2 million prizes, but two $100,000 prizes remain, as well as hundreds of thousands of lesser prizes, including three $20,000 and nine $10,000 prizes.

The “100X The Cash” Scratchers tickets have produced more than $31.9 million in prizes since their introduction in January, with a total of more than $16.8 million in prizes left to win.

Remaining prize amounts for all Scratchers games can be found at MOLottery.com and on the official Missouri Lottery app.

Players in Miller County won more than $4 million in Missouri Lottery prizes in the most recent fiscal year, according to the Missouri Lottery — which added in its news release that “Retailers received more than $400,000 in commissions and bonuses, and an additional $490,000 went to education programs in the county.”
