Public comment open for Cedar Creek Bridge replacement

The Missouri Department of Transportation invites nearby residents and travelers to share their thoughts on the planned replacement of the Missouri 100 bridge over Cedar Creek in Osage County, located near Luystown.

The existing bridge was built in 1966 and has reached the point where replacement is necessary, according to a MoDOT news release.

Missouri 100 will be closed to traffic at the bridge during construction for up to three months. Motorists will need to use alternate routes.

The work is expected to begin and be completed next year, with an estimated project cost of $1.142 million.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on the project using the digital comment form at modot.org/CedarCreekBridgeReplacement. The online public comment period is open through June 30.

This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson's $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
