Your Opinion: Life-affirming visit suggested

Dear Editor:

Ms. Gibson's letter to the editor published Sunday, Oct. 16, sings the praises of Planned Parenthood and accuses Crisis Pregnancy Centers of being deceptive businesses that lie about abortion and string women along until the baby is born and then are no longer concerned about "life." Ms. Gibson has it absolutely backward.

If one reads accounts of former PP workers such as found at http://liveactionnews.org/former-planned-parenthood-nurse-exposes-a-big-deception-by-the-abortion-giant/ it becomes apparent the PP is the organization that does not care for women or the child she is carrying.

I suggest that before Ms. Gibson accuses pregnancy help centers of being bogus clinics that are lying about the affects of abortion and provide no help, she should call or visit Pregnancy Help Center (573-644-6635) at 1760A Southridge Dr., Jefferson City, MO 65109 for information.

It is also suggested she visit the Jefferson City office of Birthright, 1006 E. High St., Apt. 2 (573-635-8822) to see how much pro-life people care about "life" after the baby is born and all the help they give to women who have chosen to birth their child rather than murder it. Another suggestion is to go to the Vitae site at http://vitaefoundation.org/ and see what they do and why.

Ms. Gibson and other abortion proponents may not change their mind about abortion, but rather than spread the lies of Planned Parenthood, they should get their facts straight.
