Your Opinion: Difficult choices ahead

Dear Editor:

Four years ago in my letter to the editor, I stated that the 2012 presidential election could result in another four years of the continuation of the direction of the past four years, which resulted in the loss of much of our precious freedom by more and more government in control of our lives.

And even more important the culture and traditions that have made this country the envy of the world one by one being lost by the completely out-of-control politically correct movement and more and more of government involvement in our lives.

Last but not least the national debt more than doubled in the last seven and half years now is close to $20 trillion plus interest which is completely unsustainable and can and will end in major problems for our country and our children and grandchildren.

The coming election is even more important than it was four years ago.

If you think the country is on the right track and want even more of these changes in the next four years then the choice is simple.

The only other choice we have is to take a big risk on a businessman not a politician who promises to make a U-turn in many of the changes of the last eight years and to make our country safer and with more opportunities for all of us. And less, not more, government in our lives. Plus a return of some of the values and traditions that our great country was founded on. These are only promises as we know so it is going to be a tough but a very important choice for the voters this Nov. 8.
