Dear Editor:
It grieves me to see the state of affairs in our country and the world today. A veil of deception and foolishness has fallen over our hearts and eyes. There is a cancer of rebellion and political correctness spreading in all directions. All of this can be attributed to the sin curses of man by our disobedience against the God who created us.
We continue to push God out of our lives in every area of our society and demand our own selfish ways, and insist that nothing should be considered wrong or bad, because everything is relevant and open to individual preferences and interpretation. Chaos and anarchy is rising everywhere and no one really feels safe or optimistic about the future.
Boundaries and security are basic human needs. Even though we are selfish and demanding in our nature, we all really recognize in our hearts the need for boundaries as we learn in raising children. Children without boundaries and loving discipline are out of control and disrespectful.
All of this acting out is an angry desperate cry for love and security. The boundaries established by a loving Father God are being systematically destroyed in America.
Children are looked at as inconveniences and are aborted and abandoned in order to live self-centered indulgent lives.
Marriage, which was the first institution ordained by God, has been redefined and dishonored to legitimize sinful perversions. Worshipping the work of our hands and the creation rather than the Creator God has produced a society that is willing to put more value and focus on preserving the planet rather than human beings created in His image.
The global warming alarmists have created an occult religion that is willing to sacrifice the livelihood and well being of humans in order to bow down and worship mother earth. God has declared in his Word that He will not be mocked and He will not share His glory with another, but if we will honor and obey Him, he will provide the rain in due season and keep us from the plagues and harm that He will bring on the wicked.
Our failure to honor God as God is what ails America and if we continue in our evil ways, we will receive our just punishment. He is the Perfect Parent who knows what is best. Let's repent and turn back to Him before He closes that door.
