You have been reporting of late about Capitol security, funding, installation, removal, reinstallation but unmanned metal detectors, including today's "Capitol security funding falters" on page one.
Our legislature is gun friendly; there are several pro gun bills wandering their way through committees.
Here is the solution to the security dilemma. The Department of Public Safety buys a Highway Patrol-type firearm for each member of the legislature, returnable at session's end. As Gov. Greitens is a highly trained ex-Navy Seal, (as we saw in his early campaign ads) he provides weaponry training with time saved from relinquishing some duties to his new first time ever chief operating officer.
Security problem solved, 197 Navy Seal-trained and armed legislators providing self, staff, and public protection.
