Your Opinion: Anti-Semite for DNC

Dear Editor:

Listening to Democrats/Liberals rant about President Trump being an anti-Semite stretches credulity past the breaking point.

Israel has just suffered through eight years of the most unfriendly person they have seen as our president. The Democratic National Committee may well elect an anti-Semite to lead them, Keith Ellison. Don't listen to me, listen to Haim Saban, a Jewish man who pumps huge amounts of money into the Democratic Party. Mr. Saban said electing Ellison as chairman of the DNC would be a disaster. Even if Ellison isn't elected chairman there is no doubt that he carries a lot of clout in the party. Saban went on to say, "If you go back to his (Ellison's) positions, his statements, his speeches, the way's he voted, he's clearly an anti-Semite and anti-Israel individual."

Democrats thought it proper to delve far back into then Jeff Sessions past, looking for justification to call him a racist. Any doubts that they will do the same thing with Ellison, go back and review his membership in the Nation of Islam and his writings in the '80s and '90s?

Ellison doggedly defended Louis Farrakhan, claiming Farrakhan was not anti-Semitic, until Ellison decided he was going to make his living being a politician. It was not until 2006 that Ellison quit the Nation of Islam.
