Your Opinion: God, not socialism, is the solution

Dear Editor:

The NFL is continuing their #LOOKATME campaign by kneeling or raising their fist in their pretense objection to social injustice. We see liberals decrying the separation of families at the border, while promoting the killing and separating of the dead bodies of the unborn from their mothers. The left thinks that a globalist socialist government is the solution and God given individual liberty and free market policies are the enemy.

If the NFL and players truly cared about making a difference they would show respect for our flag, our national anthem, reach out to the law enforcement agencies in their communities, and have a sincere sit-down discussion to voice their concerns and work together for solutions.

The right to demonstrate is a privilege our Constitutional Republic form of government affords, and demonstrations serve the purpose of drawing attention to an issue, but talk and cooperation is the only thing that makes solutions possible. We all know that the enemy's tactic is to divide and conquer and we are seeing the success of that tactic all over America.

Hate brings division, disrespect and deaf ears. Are we willing to allow this division to lead to another all-out civil war? If we are, then we are jeopardizing future generations and opening our nation up to destruction from without as well as from within. We need only watch the news and listen to the rhetoric of nations like Iran, North Korea, China or Russia to see that they are salivating at the chance to defeat the U.S. In our foolish stiff-necked pride, we are playing right into the schemes of our enemy.

Satan is our enemy and he appears in whatever form he must in order to bring his destruction.

God is our Creator, protector and provider. He loves truth, justice and righteousness. Unity with Him and one another is what brings forgiveness and healing.

It's time to thank God for every blessing we have been given in America or God will continue to withdraw His blessings and allow us to have the fruits of our pride. God always sends warnings before judgment through floods, droughts, earthquakes, consuming fires, pestilence, enemy invasions, etc.

Aren't we seeing enough warnings everywhere? "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" - Psalm 33:12. Now is the time for revival in the church and an awakening in America.
