As I warned, climate alarmists won’t stop and people need to stand up. France has a leftist government that has been increasing taxes and the straw that finally broke the proverbial camel’s back was the carbon tax. People in rural areas, the delivery services and vehicles for hire were the hardest hit. The French people decided the government no longer cared about them and were not listening to them so they took to the streets and rioted. People in the cities can take mass transportation but people in rural communities don’t have that option. Many in the U.S.A. will be hit even harder than France because of the size and distances needed to ship cargo, commute to work, and many larger farms have huge fields that need machines to work the land. What will this tax actually do for the climate? Nothing, because climate change is dominated by natural factors. Steven Goreham, executive director of the Climate Science Coalition of America, did an excellent presentation at the Friends of Science ‘Climate Dogma Exposed’ event in Calgary on May 9, 2017, that explains this very well. He also showed that even if Canada were to implement the carbon tax and increase regulations they would in no way have an effect on global emissions because there are over 2,400 new coal power plants being constructed around the world.
The latest news I just read was even more disturbing, an article by IER entitled “Climate Interventionists Won’t Stop With a Carbon Tax” that reported on an interview by David Roberts of Vox with Hal Harvey. They discussed areas of our society government should regulate in the name of slowing climate change. Everything from building codes, auto fuel efficiency, diet, and even family size. Like I’ve been warning, it isn’t about the climate, it is about total control over your life, and unless you start taking action you will lose everything.
