Your Opinion: Are Warren and Harris ignorant or liars?

Dear Editor:

Have Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris just shown themselves to be incredibly ignorant on subjects they tweet about, or have they shown that they are willing to lie, stoking racial animosity, if they think it will buy them a few votes? They earned four Pinocchios from the Washington Post for their recent claims that Michael Brown was murdered. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/08/13/harris-warren-ignore-doj-report-claim-that-michael-brown-was-murdered/?noredirect=on

Michael Brown was not murdered. Officer Wilson was not indicted by the grand jury that reviewed the evidence. In addition, an Obama Justice Department investigative report found “there is no credible evidence that Wilson willfully shot Brown as he was attempting to surrender or was otherwise not posing a threat.”

Officer Wilson was pinned down and being beaten by 6-foot, 4-inch, 292-pound Michael Brown when he shot Brown. I would certainly consider that I was in a life-threatening situation had I been in Officer Wilson’s shoes.

One might wonder about Mr. Brown’s state of mind prior to his attacking Officer Wilson. Video seems to show Brown committing strong arm robbery, stealing a $50 box of cigars from a convenience store prior to his encounter with Officer Wilson. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKjACj_Pu_w

Mr. Brown’s mother claims that Mr. Brown had earlier traded a store clerk drugs for the cigars. He was just picking up them up later. Apparently no one told the store owner that his clerks were trading merchandise for drugs. Mr. Brown’s mother’s argument was that her son was a drug dealer, but a not thief.
