Your Opinion: New political party needed for the people?

Dear Editor:

We have a president who has done a lot of great things, and yet he has succeeded in discouraging more people than necessary with unnecessary and unfounded comments. I for one, don’t care what he calls himself, but I do wish he would lose his tweeting machine, keep his mouth shut when he doesn’t know the facts, and get down to being a president that we can relate to with confidence in his words as well as his actions.

We also appear to have a huge group of politicians that seem to believe “the more the merrier.” I am referring to their desire to let people who have done criminal acts get out of jail early, vote, and just go on doing what they have always done without regard for anyone but themselves. As a matter of thought, why not just release all of the prisoners and close those nasty prisons? Just look at all the money we could save and allow spending on some other unneeded thing politicians would like to have.

Why don’t we invite every country to send us their poor, their needy, their people who are wanting to be free? That way we could forget about borders, cut government employee costs that handle those immigrants, cut costs of examination buildings, government forms, and definitely stop government investigations of all foreign entities. We could just set a world example by eliminating citizenship all together!

For goodness sake, why waste money on protection of our own people, after all we are becoming known to give freely to everyone in need. Gosh, we have two bedrooms in our house and we only need one, so why not give that extra one along with food and drink, at no charge of course, to someone that has just arrived here expecting our generosity. (They did that in Russia you know) I am sure the press would eat that up and the politicians would love it… as long as it was not their home with that big fence around it.

To some, getting votes means power and they will do anything to get them!

This may sound sarcastic, and I hope that it does. I don’t know about you, but having a bunch of adult children running our country is getting a little tiresome. Maybe we need a new political party, one actually for the people.
