Blue Tigers land 10 players on All-GLVC football list

The Lincoln football team had five players earn second-team recognition and five earn honorable mention honors in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, the league announced Thursday.

Wide receiver Blake Tibbs and defensive lineman Isaiah Gray were each voted to the All-GLVC second team for the second straight season.

Running back Kimbo Ferguson, linebacker Edwin Durassaint and defensive back Hasan Muhammad-Rogers were also named to the All-GLVC second team.

Punter Wolky Belancourt, offensive lineman Jamal Brown, defensive back Chavon Gross, and linebackers Amani Nelson and Victor Williams were all honorable mention selections.

Tibbs was one of the top receiving threats in the conference this season, finishing second in the league with 763 yards receiving on 44 receptions. He also scored two touchdowns.

Ferguson finished the season with 619 yards on the ground, scoring five touchdowns.

Durassaint led a Blue Tiger defensive unit that was fourth in the conference in scoring defense, allowing 30.2 points per game. He finished fourth in the GLVC with 101 tackles, including 31 solo stops.

Gray tallied 53 tackles, 27 solo, and four sacks this season.

Muhammad-Rogers was fourth on the team with 57 tackles and ended up with three pass breakups.
