CHAMOIS, Mo. - The Russellville Lady Indians used an early lead to defeat the Chamois Lady Pirates 55-43 on Thursday.
Russellville got out to a 15-5 advantage in the first eight minutes and kept that 10-point margin at halftime, 25-15. The Lady Indians extended their lead to 39-26 after three quarters.
Jayla Volkart and Abbie Kirchner each led Russellville with 11 points.
Haley Skaggs scored a game-high 19 points for Chamois. Katie Brandt chipped in with 10 points.
Russellville (10-6) returns to its home floor Saturday against Prairie Home.
Chamois (5-12) will begin play in the Hermann Tournament on Monday when it will face New Haven.
