Struemph gets winning hit in 10th for St. Elizabeth

IBERIA - Ross Struemph drove in Nolan Heckemeyer with the game-winning run in the top of the 10th inning Thursday as the St. Elizabeth Hornets edged the Iberia Rangers 3-2.

Struemph's hit was a bases-loaded infield single.

Mason Kemna was the winning pitcher, working the final 4 innings. He allowed one earned run on one hit and two walks while striking out three. Dakota Kemna was the starter, pitching 5 innings. He allowed one earned run on five hits and three walks with three strikeouts.

Coltin Green had three hits and two walks to go along with an RBI for the Hornets. Heckemeyer reached base four times on a hit, a walk and two errors.

St. Elizabeth (6-3) will host Belle on Monday.
