Prep Volleyball: Blair Oaks sweeps California

CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The Blair Oaks Lady Falcons took control of first place in the Tri-County Conference on Thursday with a 25-18, 25-23 win against the California Lady Pintos.

Blair Oaks (11-0-1) is ranked No. 6 in Class 3 by MaxPreps, while California (10-1-1) is No. 7 in Class 3.

Mariah Radmacher led the Lady Falcons with nine kills, while Lauren Casey and Lanie Lowry finished with eight and six, respectively. Madison Mitchell had 28 assists, Elsie Villmer tallied seven digs and Morgan Hoecker finished with three blocks.

In the JV match, Blair Oaks suffered its first loss of the season with a 25-27, 25-14, 25-22 defeat.

Sarah Girard had a team-high nine kills for Blair Oaks, which dropped to 12-1. Paige Henry had 14 assists and Madison Irvin tallied eight digs.

Blair Oaks won the freshman match 25-21, 25-10 to improve to 6-0.

Kennedy Flanner had four kills, while Madi Rissmiller and Claire Ready finished with eight and seven assists, respectively. Rissmiller also had six service aces and Sam Laughlin had six blocks.

All three Blair Oaks teams will be in action Saturday. The varsity team will play in the West Plains Tournament, the JV team will play in the Jefferson City Tournament and the freshmen will play in the Helias Tournament.
