MARSHALL, Mo. - The Jefferson City Lady Jays defeated previously unbeaten Marshall 8-1 on Tuesday.
The Lady Jays swept the doubles matches. Sandhiya Baskar and Bailey Higgins won 8-2, while Akhi Donthireddy and Madelyn Becker were 8-3 winners. Sudhi Kumar and Jaden Harper won 8-6.
Winners in singles included: Baskar (10-6); Donthireddy (10-8); Kumar (10-2); Becker (10-1); and Harper (10-2). Higgins lost 8-10.
Jefferson City won Tuesday's JV match against Marshall 4-2.
The Lady Jays (10-1) will host Hickman at 4:30 p.m. today at Washington Park.
