ASHLAND, Mo. - Lauren Howell threw a perfect game Tuesday as the Helias Lady Crusaders downed the Southern Boone Lady Eagles 12-0 in five innings.
Howell struck out 13 of the 15 batters she faced. The other two Lady Eagles were retired on infield popouts.
Taylor Woehr hit a home run for the Lady Crusaders, her third in two days this week. Riley Heckenkamp had two hits for Helias. Emily Harrison, Heckenkamp and Woehr all drove in two runs.
Helias (13-4) is back in action today against Rolla at the American Legion Post 5 Sports Complex. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start.
