Prep Softball: Eugene 16, Tuscumbia 0

TUSCUMBIA, Mo. - The Eugene Lady Eagles scored nine runs in the top of the first inning Tuesday on their way to a 16-0 victory against Tuscumbia.

Eugene added five runs in the second and two more in the fourth in the four-inning game.

Kaydi Alderman totaled three hits, two runs and two RBI in the win. Jody Polly finished with two hits, four RBI and two runs scored. Also scoring twice were Hannah Rader, Leah Schulte, Paige Rademann, Taylor Luebbering and Whitley Wilson Brenneke and Kayla Bond also had two RBI.

Rademann got the win, tossing a three-hitter while striking out six.

Eugene (9-2) will host New Bloomfield on Thursday.
