Fatima sweeps Show-Me Conference cross country titles

LINN, Mo. - The Fatima Comets and Lady Comets swept the team titles in the Show-Me Conference Championships on Tuesday at Linn Athletic Complex.

The Lady Comets had the top six finishers in the girls race to post a perfect score of 15 points.

Linn finished a distant second with 62 points, while Russellville (92), New Bloomfield (95) and South Callaway (106) rounded out the top five in the team standings.

Fatima junior Alexis Fischer won the individual title in 20:51.47, while Alyssa Struemph, Kendall Haller, Katelyn Vanderfeltz, Kailey Woody and Sierra Sankey finished second through sixth, respectively.

South Callaway's Raegan Brown finished seventh to lead the Lady Bulldogs, while Myra Baker and Lindsey Lebel placed eighth and ninth, respectively, for the Linn Lady Wildcats. Russellville's Lindsey Brandt came in 10th place.

The Comets had five runners place in the top 10 in the boys race, finishing with 24 points in the team standings. Linn was second with 62 points, followed by Russellville (76), New Bloomfield (99) and South Callaway (100).

Fatima sophomore Lucas Laux won the individual title with a time of 17:31.84 and Dawson Woehr finished runner-up. Maxson Muenks finished fifth for Fatima, while Caleb Laughlin and Jake Boyce were seventh and ninth, respectively.

Linn's Cole Stephens came in third place, while New Bloomfield's Caleb Distler finished fourth. South Callaway's Daniel McDonald took sixth, Russellville's Campbell Nichols finished eighth and Linn's Logan Klouzek placed 10th to round out the top 10.

In the JV boys race, Fatima's Joshua Even won with a time of 20:17.21. The Comets also posted the top team score with 21 points. There was not a JV girls race.

In the junior high conference meet, Linn's Rhett Robinson had a winning time of 10:26.35 in the boys meet. The Wildcats also won the team title with 17 points.

For the girls, New Bloomfield's Mikah Edwards posted a first-place time of 10:29.53. Linn was the only school to post a team score with 15 points.
