Iberia boys beat Fatima to advance to face Dixon for championship

IBERIA - The top-seeded Iberia Rangers used a strong third-quarter effort Wednesday to pull past the Fatima Comets for a 61-46 win in the semifinals of the Iberia Tournament.

Iberia led 20-15 after one quarter, but Fatima closed the gap in the second, trailing 31-30 at halftime.

The Rangers outscored the Comets 21-8 in the third quarter, expanding their lead to 52-38 entering the fourth quarter.

Zach Voss finished with a game-high 18 points to lead the Rangers. Jesse Routh added 13 points and Garrett Ray chipped in 11 points.

Cole Lehmen scored a game-high 22 points to lead the fifth-seeded Comets.

Iberia (11-2) will face third-seeded Dixon in the championship game at 8:30 p.m. Friday.

Fatima (7-8) will plays Jefferson City's freshman team for third place at 7 p.m. Friday.
