Girls Basketball: Russellville 65, Chamois 49

CHAMOIS - The Russellville Lady Indians held the Chamois Lady Pirates to two points in the third quarter to pull away for a 65-49 victory Thursday night.

Chamois was ahead 13-11 after the first quarter, but Russellville took a 28-27 advantage into the halftime break. Russellville then outscored Chamois 16-2 in the third quarter to lead 44-29.

Leading the way for the Lady Indians was Chyan Wilkes with 16 points. Also scoring in double figures were Mattie Weber with 14 points and Macie Edwards with 11.

Katie Keilholz led the Lady Pirates with a game-high 19 points, Alexis Slusser scored 14 points and Makenna Wuelling added 11 points.

Russellville (9-7) hosts New Bloomfield today.

Chamois (7-8) will begin play in the Hermann Tournament on Monday. The Lady Pirates will take on Owensville in the first round.
