J.C.'s Linthacum nominee for McDonald's All-American Game

Jefferson City senior Micah Linthacum was announced Wednesday as a nominee for the 2019 McDonald's All-American Game.

Linthacum is one of 497 girls basketball players across the nation to be nominated as a McDonald's All-American. A total of 17 players were nominated from Missouri, including Hickman senior Emma Chapman.

Linthacum has helped the Lady Jays to a 15-0 start during the 2018-19 season. Jefferson City is currently ranked No. 1 in Class 5 by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association.

Earlier this season, Linthacum signed with the Missouri women's basketball team. She also has a future teammate as a fellow nominee.

Strafford senior Hayley Frank, one of three signees by the Tigers, is also an All-American nominee. Frank has won three state championships with the Lady Indians and has helped them to a 17-0 start this season.

The final rosters for the McDonald's All-Star Game, which will be played March 27 in Atlanta, will be announced at a later date.
