NEW HAVEN, Mo. - Calvary Lutheran senior Jordan Duenckel pitched a shutout Tuesday, striking out five batters to lead the Lions to a 5-0 win against New Haven.
Duenckel gave up just three hits in seven innings and allowed no walks. He also went 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored.
Colin Bernskoetter was 2-for-3 with a run scored and Alex Flannigan had one hit and two RBI. Ray Eickmeyer, Drew Goodin and Ian MacLaughlin each had one hit for the Lions.
Calvary (3-4) plays Tuesday at St. Elizabeth.
