MADISON - The Chamois Pirates played well when it mattered Wednesday, outscoring the Madison Panthers 23-15 in the fourth quarter in a 56-52 overtime win in the semifinals of the Class 1 District 10 Tournament.
Madison got out to a 15-7 lead after one quarter of play and took a 24-16 advantage into the half. The Panthers maintained their lead to start the second half, going into the fourth quarter with the score 34-26.
Chamois trailed by four late in the fourth quarter, but was able to force overtime.
Chamois (18-8) will face Wellsville (17-9) at 6 p.m. Friday in the championship game.
