STURGEON, Mo. - Calvary Lutheran took the early lead, but Eugene got going as the Lady Eagles topped the Lady Lions 73-53 on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament.
Calvary Lutheran, the No. 6 seed, led the second-seeded Lady Eagles 23-14 after the first quarter.
But Eugene came back to outscore Calvary 27-4 in the second quarter to take a 41-27 advantage into halftime.
Lexi Dickerson totaled 24 points to pace the Lady Eagles. Alexa Belshe added 12, while Katelyn Engelbrecht totaled 11.
Eugene (17-10) advances to play top-seeded New Bloomfield (20-6) at 7 p.m. Friday in the championship game.
Calvary Lutheran ends its season with a 15-10 record.
