OZARK - The field was cut in half Wednesday following the second round of the Men's Stroke Play Championships, hosted by the Missouri Golf Association at Millwood Golf & Racquet Club.
Kory Franks and Nathan Erickson, both of Jefferson City, made the final cut of 53 golfers to play in today's final rounds.
Franks shot an even-par 71 in his second round, recording four birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey.
With 18 holes to go, Franks is tied for 12th place with a 1-over 143.
Erickson made the cut on the number with a two-day total of 10-over 152. He is in a six-way tie for 47th place.
In his second round, Erickson had a birdie, four bogeys and one triple-bogey to shoot a 6-over 77.
In today's final round, Erickson will tee off on hole No. 10 at 8:10 a.m., while Franks tees off on hole No. 1 at 8:40 a.m. They will then play 18 holes this afternoon.
Springfield's John Fuchs holds the 36-hole lead with an 8-under 134, matching his opening round with a 67 on Wednesday. He carded seven birdies and three bogeys.
Arnold's Ryan Sullivan, who matched Fuchs' low-round of 67 on Wednesday, is three strokes back at 5 under. Ozark's Christopher Obert is third at 4 under.
