Prep Softball: St. Elizabeth goes 1-2 in tourney

CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets finished the round-robin California Tournament with a 1-2 record Saturday.

St. Elizabeth defeated Versailles 6-4, but fell 11-5 to Belle and 6-4 to California.

Emily Wilde picked up the win in the pitcher's circle, striking out five while allowing three earned runs in six innings.

Tasia Green and Gracie Cook each went 3-for-3 for the Lady Hornets. Paige Struemph added two hits.

Against Belle, Maddie Wilde, Sheldon Holtmeyer and Cook each had two hits.

Jordan Plassmeyer had three hits and an RBI against California. Emily Wilde pitched 4 innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out three. Green threw 1 innings, allowing an earned run.

St. Elizabeth (2-7) plays Monday at Linn.
